There will be a new variable star visible at the 2013 TSP.
It will flare up around 5th May and disappear on the 12th. You’ll even be able to see it if it’s cloudy! It should allow for some easy telescope star testing and collimation.
It is of course an artificial star, which we will be positioning near the SCURT target on the hill to the East of the ranch. It will be variable at the beginning of the week as we sort out the best aperture size and brightness to suit most scopes. Keith
