Central Milky Way Mosaic taken by Alan Erickson of Highlands Ranch, CO on 05/27/2014 with a Modified Canon Rebel XS 1000D camera through a Two part mosaic of the Sagittarius and Rho Ophiuchus regions, scaled to 20% of original size. Shot through the Canon 50mm f/1.8 II (“Nifty Fifty”) lens at f/4.0. Five hours of total exposure time, using three-minute sub-exposures. Shot on the iOptron SkyTracker camera mount.. Initial white balance, mild noise reduction, and lens correction were applied to all sub-exposures with Adobe Camera Raw in Adobe Bridge.
