College students!
Continuing for 2013! TSP waives Registration Fee for college students!
Are you a full-time college student, and age 25 or younger?
If so you are eligible to have your $60 registration fee waived, simply show up at the gate and show your ID and proof of full-time status!

The 35th Annual Texas Star Party will be hosted on the magnificent Prude Ranch, a 3500 acre mile-high ranch located six miles northwest of Fort Davis on Highway 118… 12 miles on the same road from McDonald Observatory.

The TSP schedule is arranged with the astronomer in mind, with nothing scheduled in the mornings. But there are lots of unscheduled activities as well, including items of interest for your spouse and children!
Here’s an activities list to tell you more:
- Meetings – evening guest speakers and daytime amateur talks
and two nights of our Great Texas Giveaway - TSP Observing Programs – great observing lists for the greatest skies!
- Commercial Displays – Two buildings chocked-full of vendors exhibits and their wares!
- Show your stuff! – astrophotography, sketching, and Amateur Telescope Making (and accessory) recognition, AND our famous Swap Meet!
- TSP Ladies – daily activities for non-astronomy spouses!
- Bus tours to McDonald Observatory – join us on an exclusive tech tour!
- Internet Access – check your email and support your observing in the field!
- Amateur Radio Operations at TSP – tell the world about your TSP experience!
- Volunteers – Join! help make our activities possible!
- Sightseeing – Lots of things to do and see in the area!
Registration
TSP May 5-12, 2013 Rates
(does not include housing/meals)
- $60 if you preregister with payment postmarked by April 8, 2013. (Each additional family member is just $40 more)
- $150 if you preregister on or after April 9, 2013, or At-The-Door (Each additional family member is just $50 more.)
- Or $60/person for a one-day registration.
- Children 14 and younger are FREE, when accompanied by parent.
- New! Fulltime College students, 25 and younger are FREE (provide proof of 2013 fulltime enrollment, ie class schedule or student ID). See our TSP College students page.
